Humboldt Association of Realtors, inconjuctioin with the Humboldt County Community Development Services has made available to the public construction plans for three (3) different pre-approved Secondary Dwelling Unit (SDU) designs.  Sometimes called a mother-in-law unit, a SDU can provide an affordable living unit for anyone.  By providing pre-approved  construction plans, the cost to build this type of housing is reduced because there are no architect/designer fees necessary.

Copies of all three pre-approved designs are kept at the Building Division's front counter, available for review upon request.
