Committee Volunteer Form

Committees:

Affiliates - Finding ways to assist Realtors & promoting their affiliate businesses. Meets - monthly

Angel Program - Assists HAR members during hardships brought on by unforeseen burdens. Meets - quarterly

Budget & Finance - Prepars the annual budget and makes financial recommendations to the Board. Meets - annually

Bylaws - Responsible for annual review of the Bylaws and Policies & Procedures. Meets - annually

Education - Plans educational seminars, classes and continuing education for Realtors and Affiliates. Meets - monthly

General Plan - Monitors and initiates action regarding the Humboldt County General Plan Updates. Meets - weekly

Golf Tournament - Works on the HAR annual golf tournament, dinner & auction. Meets- when needed

Government Relations - Reviews local, state, and national political issues-plans candidate forums and sometimes attends local community meetings. Meets - monthly

Grievance - Reveiws disciplinary complaints on an as needed basis and decides if they should be forwarded for a hearing. Meets - as needed

Housing Opportunity - Examines government and market initiatives that will improve housing affordability. Meets - monthly

Human Resources - Review/set goals for all staff and to make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding salary increases, training and bonuses. Meets - annually (Realtors only)

Member Services - Covers all areas of member services, public relations, special events such as fund-raisers, general membership meetings, and the annual Installation Dinner. Meets - monthly

Mutiple Listing Service - Recommends approval of MLS Participants, reveiws/revises the MLS system and Rules & Regulations. Meets - monthly

Nominating - Recommends members as nominees for the LCRC Trustees, Board of Directors and State Directors. Meets - twice a year

Professional Standards - Participate in tribunals on an as needed basis. Meets - as needed

Public Relations - Addresses current market conditions with prompt action when needed. Meets - as needed

Scholarship - Evaluates and decides who will be awarded HAR scholarships. Meets - twice yearly

Tech - In the development phase. May address current technology and upgrades along with internet-based issues such as social media.

Toys for Kids - Organizes and raises money for our annual toy drive. Meets - twice a month starting in October
