HUMBOLDT ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®
DONATES OVER $47,500 IN 2009

Eureka, CA.... Humboldt Association of REALTORS® President Kevin Dreyer, of Community Real Estate in McKinleyville, recently announced that in 2009 it's members raised and contributed more than $47,500.00 to local community agencies and organizations. "It's exciting to see the on-going commitment to our communities that continues to be a part of our Realtor® and Affiliate member's goals" stated President Dreyer.

HAR's 15th Annual Golf Tournament was an overwhelming success again this year raising over $8,300.00. Boy Scouts of American Redwood Empire Council were the main beneficiary.

$5,450.00 from the HAR Scholarship fund was awarded to five individuals pursing careers in the real estate field. Three scholarships totaling $3,750.00 were awarded from the Mark Nicholson Memorial Scholarship fund.

More than $4,000.00 was distributed to local community organizations including Hospice of Humboldt, Clark Memorial Museum, North Coast Children's Pastel on the Plaza, Humboldt Library Foundation, Humboldt Arts Council, Redwood Coast Jazz Festival, Sequoia Park Foundation, N.C. Big Brothers Big Sisters, McKinleyville Little League, Soroptimist's Alzhemier's Walk, American Red Cross and numerous Safe & Sober Graduations to name a few.

The 15th annual "TOYS FOR KIDS" drive sponsored by HAR raised more than $26,000.00 this year, making it possible for more than 5,000 deserving children in Humboldt County to receive toys, clothes, books and necessities this last Christmas.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed and participated in these events. The Humboldt Association of REALTORS® provides services that enhance the knowledge and resources for real estate professionals and the community they serve.
