Secondary Dwelling Units

Humboldt Associaton of Realtors, in conjuction with the Humboldt County Community Development Services, has made available to the public construction plans for four (4) different pre-approved Secondary Dwelling Unit (SDU) designs. Sometimes called a mother-in-law unit, a SDU can provide an affordable living unit for anyone. By providing pre-approved construction plans, the cost to build this type of housing is reduced because there are no architect/designer fees necessary.

 

Copies of all four pre-approved designs are kept at the Humboldt County Building Division's front counter and are available for review upon request.
