Humboldt Associaton of Realtors, in conjuction with the Humboldt County Community Development Services, has made available to the public construction plans for four (4) different Secondary Dwelling Unit (SDU) designs. Sometimes called a mother-in-law unit, a SDU can provide an affordable living unit for anyone. By providing construction plans, the cost to build this type of housing is reduced because there are reduced architect/designer fees.

Copies of all four designs are kept at the Humboldt County Building Division's front counter and are available for review upon request.
