Mission Statement
The HAR Cares for Youth committee’s mission is to engage with and support youth in our community by conducting outreach
activities and fundraising to provide health, safety, and educational resources. Our goal is to serve individuals and supportive
organizations in Humboldt County through knowledge, compassion, and empowerment to assist youth in reaching their full potential.
Assistance Offered
HAR Cares for Youth is a sub-committee that was formed by the Humboldt Association of Realtors® in 2019 to assist the youth, and families with youth, in our community who are in need.
The HAR Cares for Youth Committee’s mission is to engage with and support youth in our community by conducting outreach activities and fundraising to provide health, safety, and educational resources. Our goal is to serve organizations that support youth in Humboldt County.
HAR Cares for Youth would like to partner with you to help youth in our community year-round! If your organization, or one that you know of, has a need we can fill, please do not hesitate to reach out as a Requestor. For additional questions, or to let us know of a community, youth-based organization we can assist, please email info@harealtors.com.

211 Humboldt - Need housing, food or don't know what's available in Humboldt County? They connect residents of Humboldt County with social services and community resources (housing, food, healthcare, etc.) by operating the free 2‑1‑1 information and referral helpline.
Redwood Community Action Agency (RCAA) - is a nonprofit in Humboldt County that offers a wide range of support services to low‑ and moderate‑income individuals and families.
Its programs include affordable housing, energy and weatherization assistance, youth outreach and shelters, natural resources and environmental services, and community services aimed at helping people become more self‑sufficient.
The North Coast Resource Hub - An online, mobile‑friendly directory that helps people in Humboldt, Del Norte, and Curry counties locate community resources — things like food pantries, emergency housing, children and family services, and support for substance or alcohol misuse.
Requesting Assistance
If you would like to requests assistance from the HAR Cares for Youth program send an email inquiry to info@harealtors.com .
The committee meets on a monthly basis, typically the fourth Thursday of the month (except no meetings in July and December). Requests need to be received 1 week prior to meeting date to be included in the next agenda.
Annual Fundraising
All funding for donations from HAR Cares for Youth is fundraiser directly by local events hosted by the committee. Our annual fundraisers are listed below along with their scheduled dates for 2025. Please visit the Event Calendar to register to participate in upcoming events.
Quarter Craze Fundraiser: 2025 Event - February 28, 2025 at Loleta Fireman's Pavilion
Bowling Tournament: 2025 Event - May 22, 2025 at Harbor Lanes
